3 SHR is a Linux distribution focusing on embedded and mobile systems. It integrates several existing free and open source software projects as a foundation for a platform that runs on a vast selection of hardware such as [wiki:"N900Install" Nokia N900], [wiki:"PalmPreInstall" Palm Pre], [wiki:"DreamInstall"  T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream)] or Openmoko [http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Neo_FreeRunner Neo Freerunner] and [http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Neo_1973 Neo 1973] phones. The main focus of the project is a flexible and adoptable system architecture. SHR integrates the [http://wiki.freesmartphone.org/index.php/Main_Page FSO middleware framework] for telephony, networking and other hardware management and a basic user interface for phone calls, messaging and user settings. The ever growing amount of available applications offers SHR's users with web browsers, microblogging clients, games and other utilities.
