#428 closed defect (fixed)

WSOD after resume

Reported by: crueb Owned by: ainulindale
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: SHR Image Version: SHR-testing
Keywords: Cc:

Description

using SHR testing from 03-May-2009, Linux om-gta02 2.6.29-rc2 #1 PREEMPT Sat May 2 19:11:41 CEST 2009 armv4tl unknown and Qi as bootloader.

Using resume script from ML "fixes" the problem:

/etc/apm/resume.d/01display:

#!/bin/sh
export DISPLAY=:0
echo "qvga-normal" > /sys/bus/spi/devices/spi2.0/state
echo "normal" > /sys/bus/spi/devices/spi2.0/state
xrandr -s 480x640

But in the same thread (http://n2.nabble.com/Yet-Another-Screen-Of-Death-tp2466897p2466897.html) it is said, this bug would be fixed months ago in the kernel. I am the only one who this happens to?

got the same with an a few days older version. however, it seems to be temperature depend (as read somewhere...): it never happened in my pocket.

comment:2 Changed 8 years ago by crueb

Well, it was indoors, so temp was >20°C ...
Is it necessary to boil or to freeze it to resume? ;-)

comment:3 Changed 8 years ago by jacko

seems like the colder it is the more likely wsod happens... although this was already fixed in an earlier version.

Is it still happening?

Replying to dos:

Is it still happening?

My FR is currently away for the buzz fix. Will try SHR unstable as soon as it returns and let you know.

comment:6 Changed 8 years ago by dos

When your FR returns, please test it with shr-unstable.

You can close the ticket. Works with SHR unstable as of 19/05/2009
