SMS troubles

I am running a freshly installed and updated SHR-U 20110606 on GTA02.

On boot I get the message

"Your SIM storage is full. Please delete some messages or you may not receive them any more."

Deleting messages and then rebooting does not make this go away.

I do receive some messages, but the are mostly duplicates. I guess this is because the phone is not acknowledging the received messages.

found Ticket #1006 looks like an old issue thats come back.

for x in `seq 20`; do echo $x ;mdbus2 -s org.freesmartphone.ogsmd /org/freesmartphone/GSM/Device org.freesmartphone.GSM.SIM.RetrieveMessage $x ; done

shows me all the recent messages that are stuck on the SIM. a few never came through to the SMS gui.

for x in `seq 20`; do echo $x ;mdbus2 -s org.freesmartphone.ogsmd /org/freesmartphone/GSM/Device org.freesmartphone.GSM.SIM.DeleteMessage $x ; done

deletes them all from the SIM. Then some new and old ones arrived. These came through to the GUI, but stayed on the SIM too.

i've seen the same issue on shr-core (image shr-image-om-gta02-20120118063245.rootfs.tar.gz and shr-image-om-gta02-20120131200502.rootfs.tar.gz). I still have to delete the Messages from sim with the manual method described here.
i've seen some +cms error 512 in fsogsmd.log that i would relate to this problem, but just a guess.

As this is an issue related to fsogsmd it should be reported upstream. If you do this please attach a complete but anonymized log file of fsogsmd.

with some messages I get "Can't acknowledge new SMS" then they'll fill up the SIM card. The first (direct) and the second (going over SIM) message appear in the UI.
Maybe  http://trac.freesmartphone.org/ticket/568 has a relation to this?
