#1266 closed defect (fixed)

shr-setting: npttimesync sets hwclock to local time

Reported by: raul Owned by: dos
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: shr-settings Version: SHR-unstable
Keywords: ntp hwclock Cc:

Description

Syncing time with ntp also sets the hwclock to local time.

shr_ntp.py:

99:  os.system("ntpd  -q -n -p "+self.NTPserver.entry_get()+" && hwclock -w")

This is bad, as the default in /etc/default/rcS is "UTC=yes"

It should be "hwclock -uw", or better read /etc/default/rcS.
